Have you heard this piece on NHPR about a mother, her daughter, and their relationship with the town selectman? There is an expectation by the elders that the daughter will come home after college and take an active role in the civics of their town….
Simply put by a selectman… “You are the future of this Town”
This is a fantastic summation of the demographic issues our state faces and the opportunity that lies ahead for those young people who take up the call of civic responsibility in the cities and towns where they live… Go ahead give it a listen…. Who knows you may have a similar personal story to share in response.
Give the piece a listen and let us know what you think.
